1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
3/4 cup uncooked rice
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 cup dried parsley
7 cups water
5 beef bouillon cubes
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 28-ounce can chopped or diced tomatoes
2 cups sliced carrots
Brown meat and onion in Dutch oven. Add remaining ingredients. Cook one hour on low.

4 cups cubed potatoes (not necessary to peel them)
1 small onion, chopped
3 8-ounce cans of tomato sauce
4 cups water
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1/2 -1 tsp. hot sauce
Brown meat and onion in Dutch oven. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer one hour.

* MINESTRONE: 46oz. can of V8, 29 oz can of crushed tomatoes, 16 to 32 oz frozen veggie mix, double handful sliced celery, Italian herb mix and garlic to taste, bay leaf. Simmer until veggies are soft, or crockpot all day. YUMMY!
* CHICKEN (OR BEEF) SOUP: same as above except, use chicken (beef) stock in place of V8, add 1 to 1.5 lb chicken (beef), reduce veggies by amount of meat added, add a couple cups cooked rice (or noodles) and use spices to suit your taste.
