God is A Feminist Whisperer

When we talk about feminism, we at times talk about self-empowerment, about women being in total control of their lives, purposing to do and to be whatever they want, whenever they want, in opposition to anyone or anything. The message and practice of feminism is rooted in the idea that man has the power to do and be whatever man determines. But man’s ability to do and to be anything is rooted in unmerited grace and not in himself. Feminism’s man-centered ideals fly in the face of God and His designs for mankind and the works of grace. It’s important we understand what grace is and to what ends we find it bringing us.

R.C. Sproul explains grace as being, “…so powerful that it has the capacity to overcome our natural resistance to it.” He continues:

It is not that the Holy Spirit drags people kicking and screaming to Christ against their wills. The Holy Spirit changes the inclination and disposition of our wills, so that whereas we were previously unwilling to embrace Christ, now we are willing, and more than willing.

Our goals, ambitions, interests and so forth change when we are no longer beholden to sin and the flesh. In short, God is a feminist whisperer. Read the rest here
