Rise Up, Daughters!
Posted By Mrs. June Fuentes on March 24, 2010
In all her glory, godly womanhood has been under attack since the beginning of time. Satan has unleashed a deceptively subtle and seductive assault against her that has permeated history, the present age and the future. The war has been waged, and the bloody spiritual battle that has attempted to strip biblical womanhood of all her honor and dignity rages on. However, in spite of these attacks, she will arise in brilliant beauty from the ashes–refusing to allow the sanctity of womanhood to be undermined, nor let her daughters be deceived from their divine destiny.
Glorious in all her splendor is the beautiful sight of a woman living out and embracing her true and noble calling. It is undeniable that her influence reaches past her borders and eternally impacting all of humanity. Her light is a shining beacon to a dark world of faithfulness, loyalty and tender adoration for her husband and children. Her life an abundance of good works reflecting the radiance of the Son of God. Her frailties, weaknesses and imperfections made strong by her Savior, Jesus Christ. Her steadfast charity, gentle meekness and loyal spirit of devotion to the home sanctuary is left unmatched, for she is the heart of her home and it is there that she eagerly builds a paradise for her beloved family.
This is a priceless inheritance we have been given–the roles of biblical womanhood, daughterhood and motherhood are not those to be taken lightly, for with these sacred offices come great responsibility. Do you not realize the power that has been given you, O woman– to influence generations to God’s glory? To have some small hand in raising armies for Christ? Is it no greater thing than to lead our young children’s souls straight to the throne of our heavenly Father and know they were saved from the eternal flames of hell? What meager occupation, fame or celebrity could possibly compare to these things?
Rise up, daughters, and take your positions. Be quick and return to your posts! The lion prowls around looking for someone to devour–protect your loved ones, lest he find you! Will he find your homes empty and abandoned from idleness or in pursuit of worthless gain? May this never be the case! Rise up today and take back what first belonged to you. Do not let it be stolen from you once again. Guard your home, look after your children and strengthen your marriage for the glory of God so that He may be exalted from one generation to another and so His name will not be forgotten.
And may it be so that you hear on that last day, the great declaration we yearn for—as He looks upon the fruitfulness of the work of your hands and proclaims the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Be sure to persevere, dear women, and may you seek first the kingdom of God as you build up precious homes for the Lord, trusting with all your heart and fixing your eyes upon Him.
