Shocking Planned Parenthood videos renew defunding calls

Posted By on February 9, 2011

The clandestine videos were shot at Planned Parenthood clinics in New Jersey, New York and Virginia from Jan. 11 to 14, according to Live Action.

Rep. Mike Pence, R.-Ind., called for passage of his bill, the Title X Abortion Provider Prohibition Act, to eliminate federal funds for Planned Parenthood after the first video was released….

The video stings showing the willingness of Planned Parenthood staff to assist in the sex trafficking of girls as young as 14 years of age are the latest — and likely most damaging — in a series of undercover investigations Live Action has conducted during the last four years.

It is unbelievable. This video was put together by an afflitiate of Andrew Breitbart. He was behind the Acorn video. That video was found to be fraudulent, although the finding didn’t get much publicity. He was also involved in the video of Shirley Sherrod, the Dept of Agriculture worker. That fraudlent video was exposed almost immediately. This video is fraudelent. Sorry.

  3. Actually, the dust-up is over the fact that LiveAction uses actors in their undercover videos. There are no real 14-year-old prostitutes involved. But that doesn’t negate the fact that Planned Parenthood still provided abortion advice to what the counselor thought was an underage girl. That’s how a “sting” operation works. Police frequently pose as minors in online chat forums to catch pedophiles. That doesn’t constitute fraud–it’s just a way to ferret out child molesters. LiveAction has done this all over the US in different Planned Parenthood clinics to see if they are willing to perform abortions on underage girls without parental consent (illegal in most states). They have many videos capturing PP counselors offering abortion services to minors.

A few years ago, a shocking number of 13-14 year old girls were showing up at the local hospital here to give birth. Planned Parenthood stepped up in their own outrage at the fact that these girls didn’t come to their facility for birth control, abortions or even prenatal care. They raised some emotions in the area at how these girls weren’t given the proper sex education to protect themselves. Not once did Planned Parenthood or their cronies express shock or outrage that these girls are 13-14 year olds getting pregnant by statutory rape! (The fathers of the babies were all over 18 years old, apparently.) On top of that, where were these girls parents? Not only did they fail to protect their daughters from predators, but they failed to provide their daughters with prenatal care!

I still hear well-meaning people wishing we could just ban abortions. If only it were that simple. The problem, the sin is rooted so deep in our society that simply banning it wouldn’t stop it. It would only prune back the overgrowth of sin. We need to uproot it! Unfortunately, American Christians failed back when it was just sprouting and easy to uproot. Now, we have a massive tangle of sin.

How sad that we as women can not all stand united for our own reproductive rights. Why do we have to stand seperated on our own issue? This video posted is not factual, but acted out by actors. During Bush administration in 2005, the Department of Health and Human Services conducted a through federal inspection around the country that yielded no evidence of Planned Parenthood not complying with laws. When President Nixon in 1970 signed the Familt Planning services and Population Research Act into law it enjoyed bipartisan support. Services provided by Planned Parenthood are invaluable for many women. Do you think if this would be a male issue, it would even be an issue? Please, facts only. Thank you.

  6. 4allwomen, please click on “birth control” and “Planned Parenthood.” in the post tags to read everything we have posted on this issue rather than making assumptions based on a single article. Taxpayer-funded birth control is not only unconstitutional; it violates the conscience of those who do not wish to pay for abortifacient services. Planned Parenthood claims no taxpayer funds go to abortions, but chemical birth control is abortifacient, so that’s just a dodge. Also, with funding to cover other “services,” Planned Parenthood is able to pour more money into abortions. I highly recommend George Grant’s fantastic book, Grand Illusions: The Legacy of Planned Parenthood, which has never been refuted by PP and follows the money trail with great precision.
