I can not find anything in Scripture that encourages us to “follow our dreams”. In fact, quite the contrary. My Bible says to “deny yourself and follow Me”. Oprah Winfrey says to “follow your dreams”.”

Wow! I shared this post on my Facebook account because I am in total agreement with Kelly on this one. You would not believe the controversy it sparked! Everything from my lack of support for gays, my narrow minded, holier-than-thou Christian beliefs, how judgemental it was. It totally polarized by FB friends and family. I even “unfriended” 3 of my family members because I couldn’t take any more of their verbal abuse. After this disquieting adventure, I sat down with my bible and read “Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 2 Timothy 3:4-5. Strangely enough, one of the people I unfriended was named Timothy. Thank you for giving me another opportunity to stand up for Christ!
