The Influence of Post Modernism, Part 6 – Queer Theory – Steve Golden
“…how many Christians have adopted Lee’s line of thinking, based on the faulty premise that there is an equivalent amount of love and Christ centeredness in same-sex relationships, and decided that there is nothing special about God’s design for men and women after all?”

Some Straight Skinny on Crooked Thinking – Dr. R. C. Sproul Jr.
“This lusting, however, isn’t the root desire of the homosexual. The primeval desire is to rage against God”

The Evolving Sexual Agenda – Ken Ham
“Our country is quickly moving toward having a society in which there are no gender distinctions. Some of this desire to do away with gender distinctions is because there are people who want to simply follow sinful sexual desires wherever they lead, with a total lack of regard for the authority of God’s Word. Other people struggle with confusion about their “gender identity” because of the effects of sin on the world.”

Transgendering Six-Year-Olds – Children with Sin Problems – Kevin Swanson (starts at 17:19)
Parents are starting kids out early on the “seriously messed up” life track. They’re getting their six-year-olds started out on the transgendered track, introducing gender confusion. This brings up an even more important discussion on how to train children with a sin problem (which, by the way, happens to be a universal problem).

The Debate over ‘Same-Sex Marriage-William Einwechter Th.M.
Today our nation is locked in a debate over whether or not we ought to permit “same-sex marriages,” or some sort of “civil union” between homosexuals. This article seeks to survey the debate and explore two reasons why Christians have not been very successful in the debate.

Gay is Not the New Black – Voddie Baucham
One thing that seems to escape most people in this debate is the fact that homosexuals have never been denied the right to marry. They simply haven’t had the right to redefine marriage. But don’t take my word for it; listen to the Iowa Supreme Court in their decision in favor of same-sex “marriage”: “It is true the marriage statute does not expressly prohibit gay and lesbian persons from marrying; it does, however, require that if they marry, it must be to someone of the opposite sex.”

Homosexuality – R. J. Rushdoony
There is, everywhere in the world today, a revolution going on. It is a religious war. The first victim to be hunted down in morality, biblical morality. The Christian is today, the villain. It is his morality which is regarded as degenerate and perverted and twisted and the pervert is regarded as the misunderstood sensitive soul.

It is important to understand that homosexuality has played a very important part in human history. It has long been a part of every revolutionary underground movement and secret societies. It has a long history from pre-Christian times of being linked to subversive and revolutionary movements and still does today.

This is a helpful list. In the wake of the Supreme Court arguments this week, I have been wanting to study more about the subject but, not surprisingly, much of what I’ve been finding comes from a more secular perspective. I’m going to have to bookmark this piece because I see lots of informative reading time in those links. Thank you!

Voddie makes an interesting point, and here’s the thing: we ARE equal in marriage. A gay man is allowed to marry-a woman! Likewise, I, a heterosexual woman, am NOT allowed to marry a woman! I have the same restrictions gays have; we are in fact equal!
