Despite all the experts who scoff at teaching adolescents to “wait” for sex, many do. About half of US 15- to 19-year-olds have never had sexual contact, according to recent report based on the National Survey of Family Growth. Now a study (based on data from the same survey) shows how important that is in later life.

Human sexuality is designed to flourish within marriage without the fear of STDs or depression linked to a lack of total trust in one’s spouse. It’s a gift–not a commodity to be used indiscriminately.
