Wonderful words from Kelly Crawford
Posted By Jennie Chancey on May 3, 2011
Kelly, whose family lost their home in the recent tornadoes, has written a beautiful update on her blog:
I cannot even begin to express my gratitude to you, to our church family, to our friends and family abroad, to complete strangers, to friends we haven’t seen in years, to the surrounding churches and communities, to so many people who have embraced us with the sweetest and tenderest of mercies.
When I cry, it’s not because I’ve lost my home and all that is familiar to me. It is mostly because I know I don’t deserve this kind of love. And it has been a clear picture of God’s grace to sinners who don’t deserve mercy.
FEMA came by and told us that we would have government assistance available to us. I just smiled….”thank you, but we don’t need”. And it’s true. The hands and feet of Christ have been more than sufficient to provide for our needs.
