Family Strategies: A Giveaway!

Posted By on February 25, 2011

My friends Doug and Beall Phillips, founders of Vision Forum, are producing a fantastic new series of messages that will be available over a 20-week period, beginning next Tuesday, March 1. Each message will come as a download through BlueBehemoth.com. To access your first download, you will simply create a free account, then follow the easy instructions in your weekly emails to download your messages at no additional charge. You can listen to the messages with your your computer, iPod, or other portable MP3 player. No worries if you miss a week; you can always download later at your convenience. Here’s a short description of the 20-week series:

If you are a Christian parent living in the twenty-first century, you need to think strategically about your family. Settling for the priorities and practices of the world is a proven formula for disaster. As parents, we must do more than settle. We must self-consciously choose. This requires strategic biblical thinking. It means self-consciously building your family culture. And whether the subject is entertainment choices, home décor, travel, music in the home, or dealing with antagonistic relatives, it means that wise, Scripturally-informed parents must think creatively as they aggressively engage impediments and obstacles to success.

I so often receive questions from mothers who want to know how to handle everything from home educating their children to practicing hospitality on a more regular basis. Both of these topics will be covered, as will 18 more, including how to train your children to be entrepreneurs, how to worship together as a family, how to watch a movie together as a family, and even how to take a family road trip! This is going to be a delightful series, especially with the warmth and vivacity of Doug and Beall, who share from their own experience bringing up eight children and teaching them at home.

Vision Forum has graciously offered to give two of LAF’s readers free passes for the entire 20-week series, which is most exciting! To enter the drawing, simply Tweet, post to Facebook or on a blog, or email ten friends about Family Strategies, making sure you provide them with the link to the information about the downloads. Then come back here and post a comment with a link to your own post (or a confirmation that you have emailed ten friends or family members). I will draw two winners on Monday, February 28, using Random.org. So jump on in and enter for your chance to win 20 free downloads! If you’d prefer to sign up immediately for the series, click on the banner below to go straight to Vision Forum’s page (and the downloads are 10% off through midnight Monday!)
