White, who has served in the Navy for 13 years, moved to Chattanooga in April with his wife and six kids — and a seventh on the way. His wife, Franicia White, said she supports her husband’s actions that day.
“He values human life enough to protect his sailors and others,” she said. “I am honored to be his wife and stand by him 100 percent.” –TimesFreePress.com
Aug. 7, 2015 UPDATE: Stars and Stripes reports Lt. Cmdr. Tim White, the Navy officer who fired a sidearm in defense during the attack on Navy Operational Support Center in Chattanooga, Tenn., will not face charges, an official familiar with the investigation told Stars and Stripes on Wednesday. Read the rest here.
Aug. 2, 2015 You may remember the kickstarter we promoted in October of last year for Tim and Franicia White’s book project, I Know You Love Me Mommy and Daddy. Of course the kick starter was a success. The book has been published and is available. Franicia wrote to thank you all and update us about printing. Tim wrote a tribute to mothers which accompanied her kind letter, and we were grateful to it publish here.
We’re asking that you continue to show your support of this family.
First, we’re asking you to pray. On July, 16, Lt. Commander White and several others heroically engaged ISIS supporter, Youssef Abdulazeez during his attack on the Chattanooga U.S. Naval and Marine Reserve Center in which 4 Marines and 1 sailor were killed. We’re so grateful to hear that Tim is safe and sound while our hearts go out to the men lost under his command. We want to honor his heroism and for acting in a way befitting a Lt. Commander.
WND and Allen West reported recently that the U.S. Navy has decided to bring charges against Lt. Cmdr. Timothy White for defending himself and other service men.
Charges have not been officially made at this time but are being considered.
World Net Daily reports:
Following the attack, several military officials with knowledge of the internal investigation on the shooting reported White – the commanding officer for the Navy Operational Support Center – likely fired his personal weapon at Abdulazeez. Reports said one of the murdered Marines, armed with his own personal 9mm Glock, possibly engaged the shooter as well. Read more here.
Allen West can be read here, “What’s happening to this heroic Navy officer from the Chattanooga shooting will make your blood boil.”
Please pray for the continued strength for the White family during this trying time. They are still reeling from the events of July, 16th. They are thankful for the support they’ve received so far and are asking for continued prayers for their safety, for the charges not to be issued, for the grieving families of those lost, for the continued opportunities which have arisen to share the gospel. They have been many tears shed all around. They are continuing to walk faithfully.
Second, we hope that you will reach out and show your support for the Whites. Here’s what you can do.
Please share this post, tweet it and hash tag it #chattanoogashooting #LCDRTimWhite #USMC #NAVY #FoxNews #nagr #goa #nra and any other tags which will help this go viral on whatever social media site you use. Show the world just what kind of man Tim White is. In short, he is indeed honorable and above reproach. We agree with West, “…he deserves a medal for facing the enemy.”
Also, please sign the petition. This is very important. The White House petition must reach at least 100,000 signatures by Aug. 28 in order to get a response from the administration. As of 5:45 pm it’s currently 82,901 signatures short.
With the military now authorizing service members who aren’t law- enforcement to be armed if in remote locations, it is sensible that if the regulation applies now, it should have applied on July, 16th. If only they had not acted too late.
“Can you imagine the message this sends to ISIS and all the enemies of America? West asked. “We are going to end his career and court-martial a man who drew his sidearm to protect his command, and the assigned sailors and Marines.”
We hope not. We’re prolife here and we’re so grateful for Tim White’s defense of our country and his fellow service men. We need more men like him, willing to sacrifice, willing to lead, willing to be fathers and husbands as Tim has been to his family. If you’d like to leave a word of support you can do so by emailing the Whites here or send cards to:
